Hemp [Cannabis sativa]

Hemp [Cannabis sativa] is one of the oldest cultivated plants and has been grown as a source of food, dietary oil, fibre and medicine, for thousands of years in Europe and China.

The oil is used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries as a moisturiser. Its most valued property is the high percentage of essential unsaturated fatty acids it contains, which is higher than any other plant. Because of that, hemp helps to alleviate skin problems such as dryness. Essential fatty acids are necessary for our health, and are responsible for the lustre in our skin and hair.
