MuLondon's organic range of pure, natural and vegan skincare products has won in its category at the 2011 Vegan Society Awards!

MuLondon competed against thousands of other nominations for the best vegan products and services from around the world, and won in the category of best non-food product, which includes not only cosmetics, but also toiletries, shoes, clothing, household products, and services.

It feels amazing to have won The Vegan Society Awards. I have always believed in the power of cruelty-free and natural skincare, and everyone that voted for MuLondon shares that sentiment. MuLondon is, and always will be, a 100% vegan company. People around the world are changing towards a more compassionate way of living, and I am so proud and happy that MuLondon is a part of that movement!

Getgawjus is a fab beauty blog by Shifa, who writes about her first love - makeup. Shifa has reviewed my Organic Rose Moisturiser - and she loves it!

"Why is this different from other moisturisers? Because this is something that hydrates my dry skin really well in this extreme winter without breaking it out. It is super concentrated as it contains no water hence I expected it to cause at least some breakout which it did not.

The key is to use only a pea sized amount and then warm it slightly between the fingers before applying it. I don't even feel the need to use an eye cream with this as it works pretty well near the eyes too without causing them to irritate."

If you've read my previous post on Yuzu sake, you know I'm a big lover of this zesty Japanese citrus fruit. When I saw a small botle of something called "Yuzusco", I had to try it!

Yuzusco is a Japanese take on the classic tabasco pepper sauce - but instead of hot peppers, the flavour comes from green chilies and yuzu fruit. It's spicy and fresh at the same time, and will impart a unique flavour to your dishes.

I have tried it in stews, pasta and sandwiches. It's absolutely yummy! You only need a couple of drops, as it's quite concentrated - but make sure you use it up quickly, as the shelf life is only about 6 months. This is probably due to the fact that is does not contain any preservatives - which is a good thing!

I have been looking at a number of other yuzu products, but unfortunately, Japanese food seems to be full of artificial additives - colourings, flavours, preservatives and a lot of MSG. Yuzusco is fortunatly free from it all!

Ingredients: Brewing vinegar, green chili pepper, yuzu peel, salt.
